High School Admissions Essay

I have always been fascinated by the ocean and the incredible creatures that call it home. Now that I am approaching high school, I know that I want to pursue a career in marine biology. At the same time, computer science is a big passion of mine. For me personally, it would be a great joy to be able to marry these two fields and use my computer science skills in the field of marine biology.
In order to achieve this goal, I have been taking rigorous science classes and participating in extracurricular activities like swim club and robotics. Eventually I want to go to a college that has a strong marine biology program. After graduation, I hope to attend graduate school and ultimately get a job working as a marine biologist. Every day, I am one step closer to achieving my dream of working in the STEM field and making a difference in the world.

For me, swimming in a club has helped me to improve organization and time management skills. In addition, it has been a great opportunity for me to promote physical fitness while at the same time creating an opportunity to socialize with other club members.
